I grew up with country music in the background of everything — long drives, late nights, the kind of quiet that makes you think too much. I started writing songs because I needed somewhere to put all of that.

"Call Cortez" is the first song I've put out into the world, and it's about exactly what it sounds like — reaching out when you don't know what else to do. It's personal, it's honest, and I hope it sounds like something you've felt before.
